****My White 335i****(Auction is where to buy if you can!)

Hey everybody!
I have just purchased my first 08' 335i Coupe. Features are 6MT, NAV, XL, PDC, CWP. I couldn't believe that I grabbed it how I did. I work for a car dealer so I asked if my boss could help me in purchasing this. He agreed and we were off to Riverside.
I quickly found out who was selling it, BMW (lease) Financial Services Remarketing. I spoke to the auctioneer (*Mark) and let him know it would be my daily driver and not for the lot.. He asked, "Well, what do you want to payfor it?" I said the MMR, (what the market usually brings for this vehicle at auction) is currently $22.5K, so around $23-24k. He said ok but BMW has a set price they can't go lower than and that's what I will give it to you for. I was pleased but still not assured I would be able to get a 335i that booked for over 32k. The next hour was torture. Finally it rolled up and I hastily pointed out some of the flaws just to try and shun some of the other bidders away. What happened next I will never forget. First number that Mark called out was 27k- no one said anything. He went down to 23k, our first bid. Mark asked for 23.5k, he got it from some Persian. Then 24k, Our second bid! The next bid was 24.5k and another dealer bids. 25k was ours, I knew that was the number I would have to stop at. I watched in horror as the other dealer out bid me and turned around thinking he had got it and no one would bid again. To my amazement Mark called the dealer back and told him, "Sr I'm still at 25k do I hear 25.250?" The other dealer turned around, was confused for a second and the next second it would be too late for him to say anything. SOLD SOLD SOLD! My boss held up his bidding number and I knew it was mine!

Now it is time to do some Mods. I want to keep this car looking stock but sounding like a beast. any recommendations guys? I have this in mind as soon as I sell some cars..

I will update with some more pics as soon as I get it all detailed and serviced!
Thanks for reading and allowing me to share my story with all of you.

Wow, great deal. Are these auctions available to the public and easy to get into?

Very nice.. This is the only 08' Alpine White/ Black, 6mt, Nav, PDC & CWP I have seen running this close to my home, so I'm pretty happy with my own purchase.. I have little to no damage on it with the exception of a small amount of spilt paint in the trunk.

Down side. 53k miles on it, anyone think I will run in to trouble when I upgrade my turbos? Occasionally it will long crank but again it is only my second day with this 335i.

LMK guys any info will help me! Thanks!

First problem.. Got home from work and went up a small hill. Once I reached a street light I started getting a rough idle and sputtering. Made it home and again had a rough idle, and died.. I waited for 1 min and attempted to start it up again.. rough idle and dies. Put it up to MODIS, (similar to the bt tool) it read RANDOM MISSFIRE cylinder 3 & 4, as well as undocumented problem, injector malfunction. Spoke to my mechanic and he told me it was FUEL PUMP related, or else it wouldn't have died on me.

I think I will take my car to BMW tomorrow morning and see what they will do for me since I am out of warranty & over 50k.. but hopefully its just HPFP and I can get a quick fix.. fingers crossed.

The fuel pumps are warrantied up to 10 years and i think 100k. This should be covered by BMW unless that cars warranty has been flagged..

Hey all, I am going to BMW on the 30th with my new ride.. Was gonna go today but need to wait for my warranty to be effective just in case they tell me some bs about it not being HPFP. I purchased SPECTRUM Warranty for 70k miles(up to 120k for mine) or 60 months.. I recommend this alternative if you didn't buy CPO or new. Will let everyone know as soon as I get back what happens! Thanks for all the info fellas.

Was driving 75Mph on the 73 toll-road and "Engine malfunction warning" came on, as well as reduced power.. Had to make it to the lot but the rest of the 5-8 drive was at about half the usual power.. Anyone got any ideas?
