HELP: How much is the fine for tinted windows in PA?

Just got my windows tinted (~5% all around, except for windshield). I'm nervous about getting a ticket for tint in PA. Any of you guys know how much the fine is?

friend of mine lives in pa says the troopers will make u scrape it off on the side of the road and his dad was an officer but idk how true that is good luck lol

LOL that's not true. They only thing they can do is give you a ticket and a sutible time period for you to fix the issue. The fine in NJ is $50 per offense, I don't think it's any higher in PA.

I doubt most cops they will make you "scrape" it off right there and then but my friend thats has limo tints hasnt had a problem for almost 3 years in harrisburg

I live in the Pittsburgh area, and I've received tickets from officers hating on my tint. Its usually $75. Most local police don't care, where state boys seem too in my opinion. In the past they slip this brick looking thing over the window and it reads how much light the tint is allowing thru. I've been told to remove it but I don't, and never heard of an officer cutting it..forcing you to remove it. I personally love the look and added privacy.

I have 20% on my passat and 35% on my e90.

The legal limit in PA is 70%. I heard the cops can ticket you per window????

I had mine at 20%, then added 15% on top of it to make it ~5%. My calculation is 3%, but the tint shop told me it was closer to 9%. I don't believe them after doing my own math.
