Broke clips while installing jb3

Hey guys I installed the JB3 last night. I manage to brake the little clips (the things you move with the screwdriver to put the sliders in). I didnt realize that i just had to move them a little bit butthey broke. I managed to just use tape and it works fine. Im worried that the sliders might come off while im driving, and that the dealer would realize that they broke. Is there something I can do?

You talking about the big DME connector sliders?

If so you just need to find the P/N and get a new one ordered. Definitely before
any dealer trips with duct tape lol.

It shouldn't come out..it's held in by 20 pins. But it would definitley be noticeable by Johnny Dealer

Once seated correctly the slider will not come out. It's not uncommon as i have had a few customers come in with that same issue when they did the install themselves and once seated on the ecu there were never any issues. Without the little clip it makes it a little harder to seat on the ecu sometimes.

If you feel you need to replace the DME connectors, these are the part numbers for replacements:

Large = 12527521517
Small = 12527521522

100% confirmed

nope, not at all. I wanted the peace of mind so I ordered them up and replaced myself. They are cheap too, $6 bucks for the larger and $2 for the smaller, I think the shipping was more expensive...
