Horrible experience at Life Quality BMW

I scheduled a service at Life Quality BMW with my adviser Robert two days in advance but when I got there I was told he was on vacation for the whole week and wont be available till next week. Since i was already there I asked them if anyone could look at it, so they reassigned me to Nick. They also told me that I would have to leave my car there overnight but Nick would call me by the end of the day. I waited at home the whole day for the phone call but no such luck. I called 15 minutes before Life Quality closed and was just left with Nicks Voice mail. The next day I called literally the whole day looking for Nick but he was either at the parts department, out to lunch, busy with a customer, or out of the building. I left a ton of messages and was told by the secretary that he would call me back but he never did. Basically day two I could not get through to this guy at all and had no idea if anyone was even looking at my car. The third day in the morning I called asking to speak with Nick and finally got to him. He just tells me my car is done and said he tried to call me but it went straight to my voice mail but it was full and it wouldn't let him leave a message. I tested my phone with my house phone and bull shit i didn't have any voice mails saved so it wasn't full and i was able to leave a voice mail with my house phone. When i went to pick up my car Nick tells me all he did was just a BMW inspection and nothing else had to be done. It took 3 days for a bmw to reset my service on my comp, I couldn't get any status, or reach my adviser on top of that i found spilled coffee in my car and I know that was not from me because i never let anyone bring coffee in my car. I am never going back to life quality bmw again. I rather go to LI at least they give me a loaner, and finish everything in a day, and give my status updates.

Bobby and I live 5mins away from there and we rather drive an hour out to dealers in LI instead. That says a lot...

I made the mistake of going there since it was convenient to my job and had to pay for it with them sideswiping my rear quarter panel and bumper. They agreed to take care of the damage, fine. After a week of not getting answers as to when the car would be ready, I get the call, come in at Friday at 5. Cabbed it there from Queens, since I was off that day, and all my friends were at work, wait there for an hour for them to tell me the car isnt back from paint yet, but they will now give me a loaner, assholes, fine... Go to pick the car up on Mon or Tues, inspect the bumper, its not clipped on correctly, and I practically pull it down. walk around the car, now there is a 6 inch gash in my trunk, to the right of my bmw emblem, as if someone took a screwdriver and just keyed my shit. that took another week to fix. the whole time, i can never get thru to anyone on the phone, had to resort to emails. and now, i have to deal with a cracking bumper, because the asshole who prepped the bumper, just slathered it with bondo. DO NOT GO TO LIFE QUALITY

None of you guys considered contacting BMWNA directly??
When my dealership pisses me off (only once thankfully) thats what I did and next thing you know the Service GM is calling me directly to resolve my issue...

Life Quality is by far the worst dealer...I live 10 minutes away yet I bought my car 40 miles away...That alone should give you enough to never go there!

Oh i also did contact BMWNA but they said they cant do anything about it unless a lot of people call in and complain. They said if I could try contacting Life Quality General Manager if I wanted to report something.

Life Quality... hmm I cant go back to them...

Rallye has a great service department, but they couldnt fix or didnt want to fix my squeaking rear brakes during decelleration 20-0mph and the clicking/clanking engine noise during cold startup. Both issues they said they cant replicate it. Gave them a printout of the BMW case number (not sure what its called) for one of the issue but they said they need to replicate the issue before anything. I said the braking issue is so random, how about I video and audio record when the issue arises. The service rep said that wont help. They need to replicate the issue.

I really like Rallye service department, but driving from Brooklyn with those issues not being resolved is a little upsetting. I went twice for those issues and got rejected both times cause they couldnt replicate.

Can anyone recommend a service department close to Brooklyn that repaired those two issues before?

Sorry for the Hi-Jacking

Hassel replaced the lifters on my friends car to try to stop the engine noise, the noise came back after a while, the only sure way to get rid of it is to get the new head, but atleast hassel tried...they gave him breaks too. I think I read Park ave in jersey was a good dealer, or was it paul miller? not sure.

also, that was my friends first service at hassel, and it was his last service under warranty, and they gave him a loaner, which really surprised me, any other dealer would have probably told him they cant "replicate" it and let his warranty run out.

Wow, Thanks Lemme!

Hate when they pull the freaken "cant replicate" card.

If you can find out the service rep's name that your friend had, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
B

FILL OUT THE SURVEY!!!!

I brought my car to Bayshore BMW since it is closer to my house instead of going to my usual advisor at habberstad. Pretty shitty experience....had the same issues as the last 2 times with limp mode and low idle after cold and warm starts so I bring into bayshore. 3 days later I get a phone call saying it was the "intake" that I had on the car.

so when I got the survey naturally I filled it out how exactly my experience was and about 4 hours after I filled it out I got several phone calls from the service manager, the advisor, even the secretary called ...then the mail started...asking if there was anything they could do. proves those surveys really hit home for them.

I was like yea ok chief...so brought it back to habberstad and one day later I had the issue resolved ...so I will stay with habberstad for all service issues
