Imported US BMW have HPFP warranty?
So I know I should probably call in to find out, but I don't get home until all offices close so I thought I'd put this question up here first.
If I buy a BMW 335i from the US, when I import it over to canada will it lose the 10 year hpfp warranty that the 335's in the US have? |

If Canadian cars don't have it why would a Canadian dealer honor it... I think you would have to take it to a dealer in NY state.
I'm basing this on the fact that Canadian dealers don't even honor the maintenance package you get south of the boarder. |

Hmm, I'll be in the states regularly so bringing it to a US dealer won't be too much of a prob, but I guess if I get a failure getting the car there will be difficult.

I have heard that Cdn dealers charge a $500 "inspection" fee before they will do warranty work on a US car, but I am not certain that is true as I never had any reason to find out. But that is about the cost of flatbedding a car to Buffalo should there be a warranty covered failure that makes the car undriveable. |
