I was walking with friends today, and Jesus we talk as much behind someone's back than girls do.

Is it just my group of friends or it's common in your group of friends too?

I have 3-4 REAL friends that I do not talk behind their back and if I have something to say, I will say it to them but other than that...

I think we're a little more logical about it? Idk. This definitely occurs in my friend group though. One difference I've noticed is that we don't exactly take it seriously - half of what we say is followed by a nice laugh.

everyone likes to gossip, it's just human nature. although i agree with above poster that men are generally more logical and apply reason as opposed to feelings

It is true that everyone gossips. As for how much it all depends on the person. Sometimes when I get together with friends we would talk about each other as well as other friends we know. We don't make fun of others or talk shit about them. We only talk about things that are true or things that we think are wrong. When I do talk about things that are wrong they're usually things that I've already told that person to their face.

1. We talk shit about each other more than anything else, but its all in good fun rather than actually damaging.

2. We complain A LOT less. Girls, please tone down the bitching. It doesn't make you look educated or classy when you talk down everything in sight.

3. Men can talk shit about each other and still be friends.

I agree, with girls the intent is much more malicious than it is with guys. We can call our best friend an ugly fat piece of shit without anyone really giving a shit because the intent is different - when a girl says it it is usually about a chick who is not ugly, fat, or a piece of shit and they are just jealous or not getting enough attention

Also chicks never shut the fuck up and considering there really isn't that much to talk about a lot of that has to be filled in with gossip and shit talking

guys will talk shit behind their backs but most of the time, the other guy doesn't care or isn't listening and it ends there. With girls, they take it to the next level and far beyond.
