The only "feminine" BMW one could argue is maybe the 650 cabrio. Benz is most definitely feminine, but the V8 Turbo going in the next M5.... Nope, not at all... not even a little. Although I do enjoy the naturally aspirated engine more.

A guy in an older s197 stang gt came up to me and said I had a chick car...then the light turned green and I was gone.
Yeah it was childish...but he insulted me so it was on |

While the sound of the M3 V8 is nice, I'd much rather have a smaller, lighter car with a lightweight, powerful I4TT. I love my I6TT, but if a lighter engine (and car) can exceed the power/weight of my 135i, I'm in. In a few years the pendulum will swing even further to smaller and lighter. I hope M follows with simpler cars. Yes, I got my 135i fully loaded, but looking back, I'd go the simpler route.

Ok fair enough a V8TT will not rev like a V10 but it will be better for fuel economy, the power/torque will be available at a lower and much wider rev range. Turbo is the way to go.

hmmm
Hmmmm a turbo'd V8 with 600 Horse, better efficiency, rumored to be lighter weight... I'm not seeing the downside here! While I to enjoy the AWESOME sound of a throaty big V8/V10/V12. I also have an appreciation for the smaller HO engines. They sound angry and exotic IMO. To each their own.
