Blue angel eyes?

So I've been noticing quite a few 335 coupes driving around with all four HID blue angel eye rings. They look really amazing, and I want that on my car. Mine's 2010 335 coupe, with HIDs but the angel eye rings are ugly halogen yellow. Is this a mod or an option from the factory?

I saw somebody with bluish headlights, I almost crapped. At first I thought a cop was coming up behind me.

Well, they aren't blue blue, they are HID blue, so that angel eyes match the headlights.

No, as of now, I don't think this is available as a factory modification. It's only available on 2011 5-Series and 2011 LCI 3-Series (E92-E93).

There are aftermarket Blue LED replacements. Which are NOT street Legal in many States. I madebthe mistake of buying a set. Then I found out they would get me a ticket and fine for impersonating a Law Enforcement vehicle. Was able to return them for a bright white set and they arebamazing as DRL!

I'm just trying to get it straight - is this a new feature introduced on 2011 model?

Yes. They're stock in the new lines. And there isn't a reasonable way to retrofit, your best bet is OSS if price isn't an issue.

Actually there is a retrofit, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg. And maybe a liver too.

Well yeah I figured if you dump enough cash into it, you can do it, but it wouldn't be anywhere near worth it.
