navigation dvd question

anyone with a navigation dvd player that's always spinning non-stop starting from the time you open the door and also after you shut off the car and taken the keyfob out of the ignition?

Yeah, mine does some of that too! Luckily it stops eventually!!

dealer gave me some story like it does a soft shut down and then hard shut down in 15 minutes. I don't have 15 minutes to sit there and count but some times the player sounds like it's seeking somthing on the dvd when guidance is not on and I don't even have navigation map displayed on screen so it beats me why it will be reading it at all times. When it annoys me so much I just remove the dvd entirely.
