Brief Review: GP Thunder 7500k V2!! E90 LCI AE's.
Well got these in last week and have been studying them and using them in different lights so i can get a real full feel for them...
Frist off, I would like to thank E92-Lighting.com for the awesome help, fast shipping, and great buying experience, i highly recommend them! Very friendly and easy to work with A++/ Alright... My car is a 2010 E90 LCI 335i M-sport. I was looking for something to get a nice white look over the stock angel eyes. I talked with forum member Creaminz who is a really cool guy, he has the 8500k GP thunders V2's, so i was gonna go and try the 7500k V2's. the 8500k give off a slight blue/purple in different lighting it seems. The Gp thunder 7500K V2 are the newest out, there are suppose to not have any hint of blue in them at all and just give off a nice white light. COLOR: I dont have a 50/50 pic, but i can tell you that these are 100% whiter than the stock ones no matter what! They dont have any blue in them and at night are just pure white!!!! In the daytime they seem to be less white but still alot whiter than stock!! Perfect imho, if you want a hint of blue the 8500k are probably best. One thing i can def. say is that, the OEM AE's look more visible prob because they are darker aganist the headlight, as compared to ligher/whiter ones not as much since they blend in more with the headlight housing among other things, that is what i felt when i had the stock and GP's installed on each side respectively. BRIGHTNESS: They are damn bright at night!!! i was surprised how bright they were at night. In the daytime, they are def bright aswell. There are no where near invisible as some other products are, they are def visible no matter what. The looks overall is great over stock. for the price nothing can beat it and just cant go wrong even if your not 100% happy with them! Here are some shots from my Blackberry, it doesnt show a great represenatation of them, but i put in some daytime, cloudy day shots in there since everyone know they ALL look good at night. As you can tell in the daytime pics, the AE's are def visible, not as white as nighttime, but def alot whiter than stock. ******And also remember that my cell cam doesnt do the lights justice! so the color isnt spot on. PICTURES TAKEN WITH BLACKBERRY CELL CAM, not a 100% REP of what they looks like, are a bit more whiter than shown here. HERE IS A VIDEO ASWELL: Messed up the tip a little trying to squeeze it in there I will try and get some real pics over the weekend! As these are just to show somewhat of what i thought showed a little of what they really look like in terms of brightness and color. Last edited by 5soko; 07-15-2010 at 06:10 PM.. |

thanks for the review! when you take out the bulb in the socket do you twist to the driver side or the passenger side? (saying left and right is confusing because you're facing the opposite direction).
It still looks a little yellow in the pictures but you said they're a bit whiter so thats good. 7500k or 8500k!!! I want daytime visibility while still having the "LED" effect!

thank you so much for the vid! if only you can make one for the daytime.
you said these 7500k's are pure white with no traces of blue but how come your video and some pictures show a tinge of blue? is it because of the camera equipment? Sorry for the questions but i'm just torn between 7500k or 8500k!

Just want to bump this because I bought a pair as well and to be honest, they are the best product available for angel eyes under $100...they look fantastic on my E90 LCI and the fact they only cost $15 is amazing..
Highly recommend this product Last edited by MassBimmer; 07-21-2010 at 02:09 PM.. |

8500K is more blue from what I've read...if you want whiter output, 7500K is the way to go...or maybe the new 5800K...haven't seen pics of those yet though..
I tried taking pics during the day yesterday but my camera just couldn't capture the color properly, really doesn't do them justice...they're much whiter and brighter than stock in person... |

gdspshing: the xenons match the GP thunders 7500k almost perfectly! sometimes at some angles it may appear more yellow but at some angles its really close! look at here to see
