Procede has gotten alot better since I originally got it and even then I was really impressed with it. It was never a complicated tune to me but not having to do anything now is really nice. I never was one to datalog alot because I was never going for max performance just a fun street tune. First V4 was released and that was just a huge step forward in every way. Then came autotuning which was great for me because I was to lazy to keep dataloging and adjusting the settings for the optimal perfromance map, and it just does it all for me every time I drive it. I would have to say I didn't think it was going to get much better then this. Then shiv just now released the 8-7 maps and firmware. The wastegate tuning alone put my car into a totaly different realm let alone the decreased boost taper to red line. My car pulls as hard now with out meth as it did with meth its just instant power with the push of the throttle. I have yet to try out meth with the new maps as I was an idiot when I uploaded the new firmware and forgot to put in my injection setting. So I can't wait to try it out these new maps with meth. I have been really thinking about getting rb turbos but can't decide right now if I should or not.

On topic, I agree with the OP.
The reason I went towards a JB3 was for the 'set it and forget it' mentality of it. The procede at the time seemed to cater to the more hardcore modders who wanted control of every aspect of the tune. Now that the roles have changed, and my wants in a tune have not, I'm considering a procede. Autotuning is exactly the 'set it and forget it' kind of thing that I am looking for. I will see what Terry comes up with on his new board before I make any decisions. |

Being engaged to a patent attorney FTW? It's funny... Before I popped the question, I thought "hmmm.... This could come in handy."

... 1up manship (tunership) at it's finest...
But all this talk isn't getting my N55 X5 tuned any faster... I want a product, not a paper weight...

That's a tough road, I'll admit. Having gone after a couple of patents in the automotive aftermarket, I came to the realization that there are SOOOO many patents pending that rarely convert to a patented technology.
