painting lower grille question..

im about to paint my lower grills black but unlike in the diy posts my car doesnt have the sport package and has the silver bar going across all the lower grilles....do i just sand that and paint it also or do I remove them somehow?

Sand it down with 400 grid and 1000 sandpaper from 3m and use paint thinner clear out the residue , prime it and paint it and your golden

ya im painting the lower grilles but across all my grilles i have the silver bar across all three lower grilles...i think because i have the non sport bumper

^^ follow my first post for the bar , if u want to paint the mesh just remove it dry it and spray it and clear coated (optional)

lower grill

how do you remove the lower grill without removing the bumper? possible?

Yes remove 4 bolts that's attaché to fender , 2 on each side and 4 right by the kidney yank the bumper out little so you have enough room to reach your hand down to unclip the grill !!

I didn't go nut removing all the fender well and bottom portion of the plastic !!! So good luck ..
