I have a set of SSR SP1 professors, black with polished lip,18x9 +31 offset off my Evo IX.Can you please tell me whats involved to make them fit my 07 335i coupe w/sport package?I plan on switching over the tpms to the SSR wheels, and getting new max performance non rft.If i can get the wheels to fit i would go with slightly wider tires to make up for the 9 inch wheel.I would guess 235x40 up front and 265x35 in the rear. Can this be done?I,m almost positive the EVO bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3 or 114.5.

Dan335i - I would suggest against that. You can usually take a 5x112 wheel and have it inserted and drilled to a 5x114.3 but that's because theres only 2.3mm difference. To put it into perspective ... there's 25.4mm in ONE inch. Going from a 5x114.3 to a 5x120 bolt pattern would not only ruin the face of the wheel, by the lugs, and make them unsafe.
I hope this helps. Yuji |

I take back what I said earlier- going from 114 to 120 is too much (the center bore will get screwed up). I've heard a few people done it in the past but wasn't sure if what the outcome was. I can't speak for long term reliability or safe though. I would suggest buying a set of rims that fits.

There are hub converters for that specific purpose. Bolts onto a 5x120mm hub with other bolt patterns on the converter itself for you to attach a wheel to. Typically acts like a 15mm spacer.
If your wheel offset is 31mm it may be too little for the converter to work without having the wheel stuck out like half an inch. |
