Spacer newbie needs help

My car is a E90 on 18x8.5 rims with 235 40 R18 all around. I believe the rim off-set is +35. It is not currently lowered but it could be by next spring using H&R Sport Spring. My front tires are ok but I wouldn't mind a spacer at the rear.

Does anybody know of a good spacer size for this setup off top of their head?

Also, I understand that some spacers are bolted on to the hub while others simply sit on the hub like a washer and you'd need longer bolts (sorry I don't know the technical names of these). The ones that bolt on are more expensive it seems like. Which ones are better and are the more expensive ones worth the premium?

I can't seem to find a DIY for installing spacers. They seem very easy to install but is there anything I should be aware of? I don't want the installation to become a hazard as the car is used to drive a baby around sometimes.

Any advice would help. Thanks.

The best way to determine what mm spacer to get in order to achieve that "flush" look is to measure it yourself. I've included below a guide for you to follow so that you can determine the exact mm spacer. You want to make sure that the spacers that you purchase are Hubcentric. The brand that I recommend are H&R Trak spacers which is widely used among the community. Feel free to shoot me over a PM if you have any questions at all.

Atleast put on a 15mm spacer, maybe even an 18mm or 20mm will fit, try to do some measuring.
