Guys w/meth???
Is it easy enough to remove the evidence when going into the dealer for service/warr. issues? I have the JB+ and would like to do the JB3+meth and am wondering how long it would take to remove everything to take into the dealer. Would really love to do downpipes and intercooler, but wouldn't want to have to remove those as well every time I go to the dealer. And advice is appreciated! Thanks--Andy

Well, if it helps, I have a good friend that's a BMW master tech, so it should be easy. I was just curious if a lot of you were doing this and how big of a hassle it really is. Thanks for the replies.

Not so much a thread jack but a thread tangent...
For those with Meth, DCI, & Tune, what sort of power are you getting? Quarter times/speed? Seems like that would be the best setup for someone like the OP that wants decent power that can be easily removed prior to visiting the dealer. |

Oufan2929 - The tune, meth, chargepipe, and intakes are very quick uninstalls (if you know what you are doing) for dealer visits. Downpipes and certain FMICs are another ballgame though and may require several hours. I frequent the dealer with my DP's, FMIC, Exhaust, and CP on and they never say anything to me other than how good my car sounds. It all depends on who your SA and tech are and what the problem with your car is, I'd go 100% stock if it were anything engine related.

Mid to low 12's sounds good. Will! Thought you were dead. lol. Yeah, I'll come by. Work this weekend but I want to see it. Using your wiper fluid tank?
I'm at the end of my cosmetic mods... need to find my next fix. |

About the same for me too except I am AT, running MS109, and have had crappy launches but resulting in higher trap times.

I'm hoping to get back to the track myself and shoot for a time like that. Waiting for a nice day.... As far as 91 IDK, but I suspect the 97ish octane didnt have much to do with the equation, the car runs full ignition with or without the race gas so it had minimal advantage IMO. We run m10 nozzles at 200 PSI FWIW. |

If you can get off the line, low to mid 12s is easy wiht just i/meth/tune in a MT car. In a automatic car i suspect it being even easier.
If i have this car when the weather gets into the 40s-50s, i will go down to atco (one of the good tracks near me) and I wouldnt be surprised with a 117-118 trap with just those mods and some good driving accompanied by luck lol. Hell im 250lbs and had about 10-20lbs of crap in the car with me. A normal driver who weights 160 will probabaly get a better trap right off the bat. |
