problem when trying to start engine when cold

I am not experiencing long cranks, but almost as if my engine does not want to start. It feels like it doesnt want to catch while starting. Anyone know what this can be and how to fix it. I have a jb3 1.3.

Try the idea another forum member came up with. Insert key fob power ignition. Let it sit 10-15 seconds. Engage brake and power engine. See if that helps. Not my idea so credit is due elsewhere if this solves your problem.
