window trim install

So I bought the matte black window trim from Tischer, and the local dealer here in Syracuse wants to bend me over for $220 on the install. Should I call around to some reputable body shops to see if they would do it for less, or should I stick with the dealer?

Or, do I return the black trim and get the chrome trim wrapped somewhere? However, I haven't been able to find any local places that vinyl wrap.

the black trim will always be a cleaner look than the wrap, but it's a lot cheaper. Don't take your car to any BMW shop because they charge like 150+ an hour for labor. If you do decide to go with the wrap you'd have to talk to tinting places not body shops.
GL!

Yeah - was thinking I needed to call body shops if I just wanted somebody other than the dealer to install the Tischer trim.

After calling a few of the bigger tint shops in the area, I found a place that is willing to vinyl wrap. I wasn't able to get a quote because they've never done something like this. I talked to the owner and it's something he's actually interested in (and capable of) doing but just needs to see what he's dealing with.

That's good. Just make sure it's a really good tint place; research around before you pick that guy. I looked at like 10 different places before I did mine, and gl!! Post some pics when it's done. Give me like 20 min I'll post a pic of my vinyl wrap.

+1 I looked at so many tinting places, and they all looked promising but where too expensive. I did it myself and It came out fine.

If your black trim is for E90 I may take it off your hands if the price is right.
