Question Drying a dark color e90 with MF or COTTON???

Just got my new 2011 Deep Sea Blue Metallic 328i x-drive. I was used to Silver and NEVER had to worry about swirls.

Should I use cotton towels or MF to dry my car after giving it a nice hand wash.

FYI, I waxed my car a few days ago with Klasse AIO and the results are tremendous, I used premium Cobra brand MF to buff off the wax after applying with with a COTTON applicator pad.

I feel the synthetic fabric in the MF is a bit too harsh for drying, also, finding a large MF towel the size of a cotton bath towel is hard.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

You should never use a cotton towel on any color! Always use MF. Check out www.detailersdomain.com.

I think the waffle weave microfibers is definitely the way to go. I'm a fan of the DetailedImage one (link). It's a good size and holds a lot of water.

Have you ever tried the sheeting method (Link to Youtube1, Link to Youtube2)?? Take the nozzle off your hose and let the water just flood over the car, and a lot of it just falls off the car. With this, I can use only one MF towel to dry the whole car.

When you have your car nicely wax/sealed you can end up with almost no water on the car with the sheeting method.

I use a CR Spotless but a waffle weave MF towel is an excellent investment. Even with the DI water, I'll clean up loose drips with my WW towel. No swirls.
