Engine Malfuction Light!!!!

Hey guys, today on the parkway the Engine malfunction light came on. But there was no power failure or reduction of power. I've read that the fuel pump is possibly the problem. Can anyone advise please. And how much to repair?

dont be scared...we have all gotten the engine malfunction light before...if its really your HPFP then its free by the dealer...otherwise scan for codes then clear
