E90 OEM Spoiler Install Issues
Anyone else have problems getting the OEM E90 spoiler to align properly on both sides (near the edges of the trunk)? I had one (a BMW part from Tischer) installed today and it there was a gap on both sides where the spoiler wasn't sitting flush against the trunk lid. They said they applied a lot of pressure to try to get the spoiler to sit flush, but it just wasn't aligning. I bought the BMW adhesive kit, too, so it isn't 2-sided tape that is the issue.

I had the same issue as well. What might work better is if you installed it under the sun. Let the sun heat up the spoiler a little bit so that it becomes more pliable. Then, it will conform to the shape of the trunk.

i also have the oem spoiler and installed it yesterday w/ 3m double sided tape.both sides aren't flush i think that's how its suppose to be.i took mine off because both side aren't sticking i think i need to heat it up with a heat gun so it bends a bit when i install it..

I see a lot of spoilers, including mine, that don't sit perfectly. The contour of the trunk is a little funky. It's gonna have to do until I get the CSL bootlid.

I'm going to install mine this weekend. I saw another post where the guy used tape and clamps to hold down the ends of the spoiler. I think I will try that method

My spoiler is on with 3m weather resistant tape and it isn't coming off. That tape is no joke. As for the edges it looks pretty darn close to perfect. My buddy has an e500 (mb) and his spoiler sits the same way mine does it's like a tiny tiny bit not touching on the ends.
