New to forum MOST connector to usb hard drive

i am new to the site and apologize in advance if i have posted this thread in the wrong area.

i have a 2008 320D m sport edition with nav and naviknob. i do NOT have the usb socket under arm rest but do have a socket in the boot which i have been told is a MOS-T connector (Never heard that before)
Question is can i obtain a converter from the connector in the boot to a USB drive o0r USB stick, i might be corrected (im sure) but if the plug is to power and read multiple mp3s in folders of a cd mp3 changer then it could be easily adapted to read multiple folders or files in a memory stick or a hard drive gaffa taped to the floor in the boot.
Are their any tech suggestions which would enable this to work and control via the naviknob and steering wheel controls

You need to get it from BMW or one of the companys that makes these for the most bus. Then you have to have the car programmed to recognize the device unless there is a multi disc cd changer already installed . There are many people who have asked this already on the board do a search for ipod adaptor.
There was also a thread on using hard drives and flash dongels (usb connection)to play music somewhere in this section of the board.
