I-Drive Navi - Destination question
Why does the Navigation not display what side of the street a destination is? The Dot marking your destination is always in the middle of the street (on the display) which requires the driver to look at both sides of the street to get a visual location. Ugh.
In my Merc.ML430, the Navi system shows the 'Dot' location on the right or left side of the street. This helps tremendously to make sure I'm in thr right lane, or left lane to actually make my turn-in. Rather than driving like my grandma, not wanting to overshoot (which happens ~50% of the time anyway) while going so slowly to actually scan and find the physical, visual destination. I'm finding this to be a big drawback. Thoughts? |

+1 The Acura system tells you which side of the road it's on, in respect to the direction you're driving...

I am finding the nav system most helpful for integrating the traffic information on my regular drives and giving me arrival times. But, I certainly agree about overshooting the destination. I was going to a funeral and missed the funeral home because it said I had arrived butI still couldn't see the place.
