I am about to install 2 JL12w6 subs in my car, with an alpine 1000 watt amp... BOOOOOOOOM! However, I'm wondering if I can just install the sub amp and subs, and hook them up to the stock speakers, and use the stock amplifier for the factory speakers... or do I have to buy another amp for the factory speakers too? I don't have the Harmand system. I'm planning on getting another amp, new cd player and eventually speakers, but for now I just need the bass! The installer said that we could try to just rig the subs up first, and find out after, but I figured I could probably find out here faster than anything. Thanks.
