Closed Shops
I usually bring my car to Fluid Motor Union. OJ always hooks me up. They moved to Plainfield to a bigger place. There's some awesome projects going on over there. They used to be next to to Euro someting..maybe it was Euro charge. Does anyone know what happened to them? They are gone...

No, I bought some of their shop equipment when they liquidated. A couple of the guys moved back to Texas to "concentrate on their AMG followers down there and focus on their mail order aspect of the business."

a little bird that flew the nest told me they were spending too much $ so they sold the shop and equipment. Still open and not in bankruptcy (yet) or anything but getting close. Since they're invested in H.I.N. they're probably hoping to stay afloat and making some money from that.

#1 Fuck fluid.
#2 Not that I need to explain FOR them but I emailed Jake from EC asking what the story was regarding their shop closing. This was his response: "Just moved everything over to Texas, new location. Double the size and no winter to deal with! (the old) Landlord was being an ass and wanted to double rent. We pay half of what we did here and have 2x the space and customers." I know they did a LOT of business in Dallas/Houston so I guess it makes sense for them to be down there where the weather is better and it's cheaper to set up shop. I'm assuming they still have stuff up here but it sounds like the "shop" is now down there. They do an ass load of traveling anyway so I guess this makes more sense for them. |
