Hot oil is bad if the car goes into limp mode. That'll happen at 161C (322F). Anything over 290F is concerning. Anything under is probably not worth worrying about.

Sorry, it sounded like he was asking what normal oil temps people were running at. Which if you search for, you can find that they run from 210-270 depending on how and when and where.

an aquamist kit or some form of alcohol injection kit would be really useful for such situations.
not to reduce timing but to use them as a backup to cool everything down. some form of preventive measure. |

I wasnt criticizing, just giving my opinion on why he hadn't gotten the dreaded I just figured he earned some props by showing the pic of his car 35 degrees away from limp mode

According to several previous posts in this thread, the air-to-oil cooler is behind the mesh in the lower front bumper on the passenger side. If you don't see a little silver radiator in there, you don't have it.
