BMW Insurance/tracking device

Does anyone have experience with the above.
I'm currently paying £420 for my 330d M Sport with Aviva, but I wanted a comparison for my forthcoming new 535d.
I've just tried to get an on-line quote from BMW insurance, but a tracking device would appear to be mandatory, as it won't let me proceed without confirming that I have one fitted.
Any opinions welcome - thanks.

yeah i think bmw insurance stipulate having a tracker for anything over £40k

someone else confirm?
