What Am I Doing Wrong?

Tonight was the first time I've ever taken my car to a strip and my first time was horrendous and needless to say I made 4 Runs and this was my best

R/T = .278
60' = 2.071
330 = 5.917
1/8 = 9.082
mph = 78.43
1000 = 11.775
1/4 = 14.065
MPH = 97.45

I launched the car from approx 2000 RPM's but didn't hit the dtc button. I also had the car in DS the whole time.

BTW My car is BONE stock.

Temps, humidity, elevation? Too many variables here. Also, are you running stock RFT's? Decrease your 60' time to about 1.75-1.9 and you should see mid to low 13's with more practice, which is average for a stock car.

Yea, I'm In Orlando so the humidity is crazy, it was only about high 80s when we were racing and my oil temp was running from 200-230ish. but yes i'm on the factory run flats.

Where is a good place to practice my launching technique? It's not the I'm afraid of the walls but they are intimidating I just want like an open area to do it but assuming there aren't many legal places like this haha

Launching at 2,000 rpm? That sounds low to me.

That's ideal with the mods I'm running but the OP is stock, so maybe launching at 2500-3000 would be better.
