HIN-NOPI 2010 SUPERSHOW SOLDIER FIELD, CHICAGO ILLINOIS September 25, 2010
The fourth HIN-NOPI tour stops in Atlanta and Miami were great successes with its tuner car competitions, auto-lifestyle showcases, and musical and stage performances as HIN and NOPI have completed for decades. It is with great pleasure we confirm that we are bringing the show to the CHI! 425 East McFetridge Drive Chicago, IL 60605-2801 (312) 235-7000 Anyone interested in going? ![]() HIN NOPI Website Remaining 2010 HIN/NOPI Supershow Tour Schedule September 18 (Saturday). try cancelled...my thoughts on this show and organization from another thread...
I think its crap, unprofessional, and amaturish. People have spent time, $, energy which won't be reimbursed. Travel arrangements were made and work schedules adjusted. It not like its professionals that they are hurting...it is the very people that support their product and brand. I say fuck them and their fucking show. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind later. If I want to see booties bounce, I'll go to Scores and pay for it like any other red blooded american man.

Yes and no.
First, let me clarify that I did not suffer any financial loss or any inconvenience due to the cancellation. I did not do anything extra to my car and did not have to travel. In point of fact, it frees up my weekend which is good. But, there are others, such as yourself who did suffer some loss. In your case, stress and time. Yes, you would have done the stuff to your car anyway, but you would not have had to scramble at the same time that finals (for your future real life) were going on. Not to mention others who actually spent $ that they may not have otherwise spent or maybe spent over a greater length of time to ease the impact. If you are willing to roll over and get fucked in the ass, that's your problem. In my life, loyalty and respect (which I have for you BTW, so don't take this as my being upset or mad at you in any way whatsoever) are king along with honesty, integrity and love. These are the only thing that trump cash to me. This organization violated the first two. I realize that there was a business reason, but I run a business too. I can tell you that my clients come first, even if it means that my wallet is damaged in the process. That is the way you keep clients and get more. Since this occurred so close to the date, I would have not announced the purchase until after the show or even better at the show. The point is the show would have continued and my clients/fans would have been satisfied. If they want to say fuck you to their clients/fans...it behooves us to say fuck you and your mother right back.

I totally agree man, you know I do. Just remember who to be upset with, not HIN (the original owners), not Eurocharged, not emo Mike. The new owners are to blame obviously. This will definitely make me reconsider doing this event next year but as far as this year Eurocharged was counting on us so if they say they're rescheduling it I will be there for them for that show because all of their prep for this shouldn't be for moot.

Agreed. The anger needs to be directed at the proper parties. I don't blame EC in the least. Its all Emo Mike's fault.

posted in the chi chat thread, figured would be good here as well....
Hey guys, thought I would shed some light on what happened / is happening with HIN. I have spent the last 24 hours screaming at anyone who would listen. I actually made it up the food chain to the new owner strangely enough, as I guess we had some pull as we had the largest booth at the show. Here is what I was told: - The show will be held before the end of the year - The show will most likely move indoors - "The delay will only help in generating a larger attendance as what we have to announce will make a difference in and of it's self." (via discussion and email) - "Hopefully the press announcement next week will help alleviate some of the issues." - "We are having to move the date back due to the pending acquisition of Hot Import Nights by Stratus Media Group." blah blah blah. So my thoughts? Eh, sucks. I feel horrible for the guys prepping their cars. Trust me we feel your pain. We have a ton of $ lost in advertising and such, as well as went the full mile to get our cars and people booked to travel from tx. For those that did want to show with us, should we still choose to do the new HIN date, you are welcome to still be with us, and we will hold a spot for you. but...on the lighter side of things: Be on the lookout for a new type of show next year. It will be created by the guys that have the passion cars, and go back to our roots. Various car clubs and forums will be brought in to help create and brainstorm a event that we can all be proud of, that eliminates the BS of the other shows, and that's affordable. We are starting the process now...stay tuned. |
