I have Formula One 30% on my car -- but people can still see through.

I was wondering how low we can go without getting the cops on our tails. Ie. What is legal...I understand its somewhat vague?

Is 20% tint pushing it?

I think it depends on your car and how you drive it. I've had 15% tint on my car for two years now without a single issue. I think you can have 35%, but your 30% is not going to cause you any problems.

I main issue I find with 15% tint, is its very hard to see corners or people at night...

No listed percentage exist in the HTA. It's at the discretion of the officer(if you get unlucky). Usually people say 35% is the legal percentage but only because of the visibility that it offers. Even then the officer can give you a hard time. I used to have 35% fronts and 20% rears on my A4(F1 Pinnacle as well)..it was pretty dark. I've seen cars with 5% and never get hassled. It really depends if you have other things the officer wants to tag you for. That said, I always roll down my windows with lights on as a courtesy to the officers..not a huge issue unless he really hates you.

What you could do is what I did in my car:

30-35% in the front
20% in the back

Some people hate that, but I think it looks decent. It's also legal since the cop can see you
