BTW OP you might want to read this thread to set your expectations with aftermarket vs stock DVs http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=stock+DVs

Stock DV's are rated for the normal amount of boost (6-8PSI). You'll need an forge DV if your planning to run a tune. It holds much better, rated for higher levels of boost. Trust me the n54 has a unique sound already, turbos whining up and with an intake you'll get that nice sound your looking for. Subtle yet agressive |

Does anyone know if the 2011s have a BOV? The reason I am asking is because it seems it does, mind you it not loud though.

Well, lets see, I have a Yamaha FZS Waverunner Supercharged and at 1800cc with the mods I have it is about 335 HP (dyno'd). Stock is listed at 200+ (yamaha doesn't release info but estimates are 225hp)
The ONLY reason I got a BOV was to save the clutch plates in the supercharger. It lets the pressure bleed off. I see no reason whatsoever to use it on your 335 but hey, nobody wants to know the truth. just my 2c.... |

I'm running Evolution Racewerks setup with a TiAL BOV and runs fantastic with no boost/power loss. Their (ER) 135i destroys cars at the track, so don't beleive those who say you lose power. TiAL has a subtle sound, not like the loud squeel of a HKS, sounds nearly stock with a quiet whoosh.

I just installed the Synapse Kit yesterday, and totally love it. As far as the performance goes, I don't feel any difference, but I like the sound it makes. wushhhh....
