DMV does that... you can keep the same plate ID at a cheaper annual cost or you can get customized ID at a higher annual cost.

But i believe to get CCA plates, u need to be a CCA member. I'm not sure what the monthly or annual fee is.

CCA Membership is $40/year, but if you get a 2 year or 3 year membership, it's discounted.

please don't buy CCA plates unless you are a member. it's like guys who have decals of the 'ring on their trunk but never once drove a lap in it.

I believe you need to be a member to get the CCA plates... but if it doesnt require a membership, does it matter if he gets it? CCA should be happy, cause part of the annual fee goes to CCA =P.

I think the CCA plates look pretty nice.

I just recently bought my BMW and was "allowed" to transfer over my old NY plates. I thought this was the case because I still had a year left on my current registration and after it expired I would be forced to buy the new ugly yellow plates. But according to a few posts in this thread it has me believing I'll be able to keep those plates for as long as I want??? (registration has always been under my name)
