I think the real question is...what's your warranty worth to YOU? Personally, I'd take it out. Only takes 15-30min.

I put it on map 0 for my recent oil change.

i'm in the same position as you, however i already took out my jb3 but connected the cables wrong when putting it back to stock and i'm 100% positive i have some codes there since the car would crank but not start and gave a warning on the navi, i need to take it in for brake service and an error code on a tail light, but don't know if to take it like that or wait to clear the codes. i'm leaning towards buying the can tool amd clearing the codes just to be safe.

Wait to clear those codes. Losing your warranty is not worth it.

Take it out. If they suspect anything at all and check, you are screwed. I know you're thinking you don't want to go through installing/uninstalling it again, but after the first install I found myself taking it on and off in about 40-45 minutes total.

Also, make sure you have BT tool to scan for codes before you take it in. BT tool + taking out JB3 = no problems whatsoever.

i took a huge risk last month and left everything on the car for service. exhaust, dps, dci, and tune. i put the tune to map 0. the dealer said nothing. they even fixed the squeaky breaks and suspension.

How much more difficult is it to install DIC compare to the JB3

i finally got the CAN tool from bms and plugged it in and there were no codes detected by it. so i'm good to go. hopefully this CAN tool from bms works.

btw: for those wondering, i ran the jb3 on map 5 with dci for like two months.

For regular service as per schedule like oil change... I just put into MAP 0, however I do have good relationship with two SAs at the dealership that I bring my ride to.

Luckily I haven't had to bring in for unscheduled service repairs... knock on the wood three times...

Should have gotten the BT cable. It is very useful.
