Can you negotiate buy out at end of lease?
My 335i lease is coming to an end in 2 weeks. I am absolutely in love with the car and would like to buy it, something I had not imagined when I first purchased the car. The buy out is at 29k, is it possible for me to negotiate this down a bit?
Its a 2008 with 42k on the odo |

Are you over your allowed mileage? What is the per mile charge for excess miles? You may need to factor that into your thinking about buying vs. Turning in.

Usually the dealer will offer you a lower buy out price than what was said on the contract. Give them a call either today or tomorrow and tell them that you're thinking about buying it out and would like to know the price. Most of the time they would offer you a lower purchasing price. Then you can negotiate from there if you like.
When I bought out my lease they offered me about $5k or so right off the bat. After a little haggling I was able to get about $6k or so off the original residual value. G'luck. |

I am in the same boat. Lease ending Nov 2010. 2007 328xi with premium, cold weather, xenon, prem stereo, ipod. 30k miles 27.6K buyout. I'm interested in buying with cpo to get better financing and warranty. What is a good starting point for negotiations?
