Question WHEEL GUIDANCE Question!

Hello Everyone,

I have 328I with sports package. I am looking into getting some VOSSEN shoes this week. I wanted to know if 20X9 (FRONT) & 20X10.5(REAR) will cause me any issues and is it just slap them on and go. What tire size is recommended when wheels are this size?

Are there any special mods, spacers, rubbing etc.??? Will I be able to drop the car in the future? or???

Any guidance is much appreciated. Pics will COME SOON!

You might have some rubbing issues. I have 20's on my 335i with sport package and i had to do the fender rolls right away.

You will probably rub if you have a sedan, definitely if you have a coupe. Rolling your fenders will help alleviate this. Whether you need spacers and what size spacers in the case that you do are dependent on the offsets you end up with

Thanks for the reply... This may sound like dumb question, but what is "ROLLING YOUR FENDERS" is this something that can be done easily? By me? or by a body shop... 20's look nice but they sound like a small mission.

If you're not comfortable with doing bodywork it's something a shop should be able to perform for you

FWIW these are all pretty common questions, try using the search function of searching google including the term "e90post" to find some more specific answers

Thanks for the reply. I will do some additional research.

I know MIAMI CHASIS very well and there work is top notch, I refer to them as the East Coast version of West Coast Customs.

Who are you buying the wheels from? They should be your first source of information. They should have the appropriate suspension, offsets and tire size guidelines for this setup. You should do as they advice. They are the manufacturers/retailers. Try asking them directly first.

BTW, 20" are very big wheels for a 3-Series and those wheels are cast. They weight more than 32lbs each. They are very heavy and your drivability will be severely affected.
