Transmission concern - RPM flare during shifts when cold?
As the title states. When the car is started from a dead cold, there are times that the RPMs will flare up a few hundred in between shifts. This does not seem normal, but I have not driven another 335 auto from cold start.
Is this something the computer is doing on cold starts to help the life of the tranny or no? The car sat outside today for ~10 hrs in the 60's. When I got back in it, it happened more than it ever has before. After about 1 mile of driving (stop and go) I could not really notice it much. |

I had that kind of a burp in rpm's between 2nd and 3rd gear shifts in my auto.
Thought the tranny was bad, but I tried resetting transmission adaptations with my BT tool and it cleared right up and has not come back. Might be worth a try! |
