PO83 Safe for my 335i?
Hi,
I have a jet black 2009 335i. I bought it from a guy in Cleveland who didn't take care of it. 3 months ago I clayed it, then followed up with blackfire paint protection, gloss polish. I used a PC 7424. The results were pretty good. I still have some light swirls, some etched in water spots, and light scratches. Here's my question... I'm thinking of getting the DI Package Menzerna and Blackfire Protection Kit from detailedimage.com Is the PO83 safe to use on my entire car with an orange pad? Also, I just want to verify the steps with this package... 1. I'd clay the car again. (I have BF clay bar and lubricant already). 2. Orange pad, PC 7424, PO83 entire car. 3. White pad, PC 7424, PO106FA enitre car. 4. White pad, PC 7424, BF Gloss ehancing polish entire car. 5. Black pad, PC 7424 BF Wet Diamond Sealant entire car. 6. Midnight sun carnauba wax by hand. 7. Let it sit for 10 hours. 8. Midnight sun carnauba wax by hand, second application. Wondering if that sounds like my best plan of attack. Thanks a ton! |

Looks like a good plan to me. Test the PO83 and then PO106FA out on a section of one panel before doing the entire car. That way you know exactly what the results will be before running the PO83 over the whole car.

test section for sure, but po83 is perfectly fine. Its the severity of the defects that dictate the polish/pad type, not the paint type. heck I use 105/orange on jet blacks all the time because the damage is so severe in a lot of cases

Looks like that was his plan as it was listed in Step 5.

doh...black pads are slightly abrasive, so I would actually go with a blue or finer pad with a sealant application. I have done both in the past, and actually like blue for sealants over black pads.

Very good point, I missed that too. Love my blue pads for LSP application.
