Weird OIL TEMP reading.....
after class as i went to drive home i just happen to glance at the oil temp guage for a moment and realize that the guage had the needle reading all the way to 120 and i thought this couldn't be possible, the oil should be a little warm because well i did drive to school and so usually when driving back it reads 200 when i first start the car, but anyways then instantly out of nowhere the needle jump to 210.......so it went from 120 to 210 and i was already like 10 minutes into the drive when this happen...
well my question is has this happen to anyone? should it be something to worry about? also, my oil is a min right now, could that be the problem? the sensor was dip into the oil at the time...... thanks in advance

oil temp sensor is prolly bad. same thing happen to me and I had to get it replaced. Also odds are you oil is probably Full but due to the faulty sensor it is reading it low, so be carefull adding more oil.
take it in and have them look at it, that happend to me. |
