Hearing some video clips already sound good. So I am thinking of getting this next year. I like the sound not too loud or aggressive.

I bought mine from Tischer for like 1599 on a sale they had but I have heard they are cheaper if you look around, as low as 1300 ? Dunno. I really did think it was overpriced but it seems ALL BMW exhaust is overpriced. Considering the alternative, I put down 300 to have a local shop custom up a set of Magnaflows for me. Looked great, the drone was so bad I actually cut them off in my driveway Saturday morning because the shop was closed all weekend and clamped the stockers back on till the P.E. came. I guess some of that extra $$ was to pay for the engineering of tuning it. I bit... Dont be fooled though, when WOT, this thing is definitely LOUD.

The best price quoted so far was from Lucent Motors in West Los Angeles. They said it would under $1,000.00 for the 355i coupe. Their installation would cost approximately $250.00.

Got a contact for them? Because I believe the dealer cost is around $1000...so not sure how they can beat that for a 335i coupe.

Plus their markup and shipping?

My local shop will install a third section for like $75.

Ask for Tom -- very nice and professional. In the past they have given me their cost (eg - tires from Tirerack) and just charge for labor.

That's why they can sell it for cost then. Because they are charging you 3x the amount anybody else will to install it.

They are just getting their money on the other side, not the sale of the item.

Thanks for the contact info!

I really think I would get this before the wheels since I was just thinking of getting one.

Are there any gains with just the BMW PE and nothing else?

Also how would you compare the sound with the G35?

Do the tips stick out more than the stock exhaust? If so, how much? Does anyone have the PE in the West Los Angeles area? I would love to check it out before making the plunge - Thanks

I will no longer go to Lucent motors. Tom did an alignment on my 335i coupe, only adjusted the toe, and charged me $160.00. The car drove like crap after the alignment. I had Tom test drive the car and he said that it was OK despite the steering wheel being off center and the car pulling to the right. One week later I took the car to EF1 Motorsports in Long Beach. Fabrizio (owner) spent over 2 hours aligning the car. The camber and toe were way off! The car now drives like a dream with excellent turn in and straight line stability. - EFI charged $120.00 and told me to come back for a free alignment in 3,000 miles. Lucent is about 1 mile from my home but in the future I will drive to EF1 for all my wheel, tire and alignment needs. As a side benefit, I won't need to dry clean my shirt to get rid of the cigar smoke.

Sorry to heard about your bad experience with Lucent
you should go back and ask him to fix the alignment free for you the first time
but yet it's good you found the shop you trust and like
The PE won't disappointed you

The tips do stick out, and down, more than stock. I didn't like the result so replaced them w/Cyba 3.8" chrome angled tips.

Now THAT'S more like it...
