I had Toyo T1Rs on another car...I thought they were good..but C&D and a few others said that there were better options out there. I am thinking about trying Michelin PS2s next.

According to Tire Rack the General Exclaim UHP is their highest rated tire. Also the least expensive and best treadwear. Conti owns General. It would seem to be a no brainer to me.

Hankook - if they are good enough for Hamann, I think you'll be fine too

Don't you mean highest rated tire for that category (ultra high performance)...but cuz in the next category (extreme summer performance) it's the Bridgestone, Michelin PS2 and then Goodyear Eagle F1...if I remember correctly.

PS2. Hadn't been overly impressed with them up until the other day when it finally hit 55F and Sunny. It's been mid-40s low 50s and wet since I bought them. They do good in the wet, but not wet and cold. When it's cold they squirm a little under acceleration and ride rough ... which is fine, it's a summer tire.

The transformation once the pavement warmed up a little was amazing. Ride got smooth and the grip went up by a magnitude of 3.

Still not sold that they're worth the asking price though. Maybe when summer hits I'll change my tune.

I have used several different tires in the past and right now i'm using BF Goodrich KDW2's and I would highly recommend them. They offer great traction in the dry/wet, insane treadware, and they are priced very fairly. I plan to pick up a set in 19" when the 335i arrives (I currently have them in 18's).

On a side note, I use to be a dealer for toyo tires, and I can honestly say that T1R's BLOW... the price isn't bad, but the tires really suck IMO. If you cruise back and forth to work then maybe they are for you, but if you like to push your car in the twisties like me then you will hate them. I thought that the sidewalls just felt like jelly, they are crap IMO.

Michelin PS2s...I read too many posts (from E90Post) and reviews (from other Web sites) that said they're the best summer high performance tire to pass them up; I did almost get the less expensive Falken 452s though (most ppl rate them just below the Michelin PS2s).
