Back fire is unburnt fuel! If you want some more of that sound go completely catless and you should be happy...

I'm pretty sure he's not talking about actual backfire but probably that lovely burble and gurgle some of us are getting with an after market exhaust. There are several that do this such as AE (which I have & love) or I believe the BMW performance exhaust and most other high flow systems. Down pipes probably help even more...

Edit: Maybe not - just saw in the OP's sig that he has an eisenmann exhaust - does that exhaust not have the nice burble & gurgle?

If he got rid of his primary cats I am sure he will gurgle and burble and also wake the dead up also at the same time!

Mine does this with the RPI exhaust and i still have the factory downpipes.

Every time i let off the gas the car burbles and pops slightly.. Sounds awesome

yes meth gives alot of backfires you can hear them smoothly.. and it will put smile on your face everytime you hear it
