It's official sports fans!!! Dealer just called me and told me he heard back from Puma and I do have a bad fuel pump. he will call tomorrow to let me know when I can expect the part.
This sucks, at least they have me in an exterra instead of that stupid dodge pickup. Still waiting on them putting me into a BMW loaner. |

I installed mine myself. I broke a plastic clip on the temperature sensor when re-installing it. I dropped the ground bolt. The larger ECU is difficult to rebolt (takes some wiggling), as they mention on the video. Also, be careful not to pinch any wires in the ECU cover when replacing it.

Sorry to hear you had the same problem twice. That would piss me off, but I'm glad its not the Procede.

I would hope that the un-install will be easier than installing it, and then when i do re-install it myself, i will have even more expirience than doing the install "fresh"

Absolutely -- have an uninstall party, and a reinstall party when sstarch gets his car back.

I uninstalled and reinstalled mine a couple weeks ago for a trip to the dealer. The uninstall actually took me like 45 minutes just cause I was being really careful with everything. I think after you do it one time and know how all the covers and stuff work, you can do the install or uninstall in like 20 minutes or so. It’s very easy. Like other people found out though…. Be careful with all the little clips cause a couple of them are very fragile.

plz don't hate me if this is a repost, I tried searching first (i really did!)
I figure it's too early to KNOW if the e90/92 engines are taking a significantly greater beating WITH the PROcede as opposed to stock, but is there any speculation on HOW much of the e90/92's life we're taking away w/ this mod? I'm one of those people who keeps their car until it dies or is so expensive to maintain it's not worth it... ie my Honda Accord has lasted me a faithful 13 years... |

My E46 was a rock solid daily driver for 8 years and I expect the same from my 335. My 1602s and 2002s all went into the 200k mileage range with no major repairs despite some fairly radical driving. The mechanicals are superbly engineered using outstanding materials. Electronics?? ?? ??
