Best Books To Read For Tracking
This winter I want to read all that I can. Please post your favorites! I'll start us off. #1 is here for a reason, it's a must read IMO. I haven't read any of Ross Bentley's books, any of you recommend them, or something better?
1. Going Faster! - Carl Lopez of Skip Barber Racing School 2. Drive To Win - Carrol Smith 3. Tune To Win - Carrol Smith 4. Engineer To Win - Carrol Smith 5. Speed Secrets - Ross Bentley 6. Speed Secrets 2 : More Professional Race Driving Techniques - Ross Bentley 7. Twist of the Wrist 2 - Keith Code 8. Inner Speed Secrets - Ross Bentley 9. Race Car Vehicle Dynamics - William F. Milliken 10. The Racing & High-Performance Tire: Using Tires to Tune for Grip & Balance - Paul Haney 11. 12.

Ross Bentley's books are great, however, you do not neet to read all the series. Speed Secrets and More Speed Secrets would do.

I know anyone can do a search on amazon. Any particular sports psychology books that apply well to driving? Maybe something like Zen Golf (i.e. don't dwell on mistakes, continue on). I'm putting Inner Speed Secrets up on the list now, for reference sake.

Good to know, those are the only three I've read (and reread).
Here's another: Race Car Vehicle Dynamics - William F. Milliken It's not light weight, it's a publication from SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) in 1995. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html/r...0915269&sr=8-1

Here's a "heavy" book on tires, also by SAE:
The Racing & High-Performance Tire: Using Tires to Tune for Grip & Balance - Paul Haney http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html/r...8012414&sr=8-5 I'm looking forward to what my wife says when she sees that on my bed stand table.
