Refinishing wood interior?

Has anyone tried to refinish their wood interior. By "refinishing" I mean like you might do with a nice piece of furniture.

Its not furniture. Its clear coated. It can be removed and polished, much like your paint. People have also had good results doing it by hand in their car but that takes some serious elbow grease and taping.
