oil change location

I did a search but only found a few in queens or LI.

I live in Staten Island, NYC near Verazanno bridge, any good places that you would recommend for oil change? Thanks.

That sucks, but I'd drive an hour and a half knowing the job is gonna be done the right way anyway

Honestly, you can't really screw up an oil change on these cars. All you need is a set of ramps, which are about $30. Drive up, drain oil, open filter canister from the top of the engine bay, close drain plug, pop in a new filter, pour some oil in the filter canister, then pour the rest in the oil fill hole. 30 min job max.

You are right to a point...i have had some cars in the shop for cracked filter housings..tightened the plastic so hard it split and pissed oil everywhere.

Our rates are reasonable as well. On a good day we are about 20-25 minutes from the bridge :-)

Its never to far if you're bringing your car to a A+ service of a place.

I'm guessing they used a tool or filter wrench to tighten the housing? You can tighten it down by hand very well. I was only suggesting it since OP couldn't find someone close. I've only heard good things about your shop so I would recommend people go to get work there done if they can't handle it themselves.

I wanted to add this: My car, as of now, is still at least a week out on the boat and Matt has answered about 10 of my PM's. Seems to be a great guy that wants to help a new BMW owner with as many silly questions as I can dream up. From all the positive responses from his shops work and his personal responses to me Matt has earned a customer before I even have my car. I think that should say alot.

Jmar your dead on. I ask Matt all types of questions and he always gets back to me. Sometimes not right away, but knowing him on a little more personal level, I know how busy he can be so it's expected. As far as other suggestions, we could help u if u would let us know how much money your willing to spend? Because I always think one of the first things u should do is suspension

Well, I already have winter tires and I am looking for wheels at the moment. I think when the spring rolls around I'll be ready to mod. Until then I want to see how the car is in the crummy weather... I'm looking forward to JB3 autotune for the n55, then after that I may get sport springs, and possibly a lsd. Somewhere in there I may also get new tires (like vmr's). I also have to think of my wife, who doesn't want to drive a highly modded car.
