Vinyl Top
Hey Fellas! I want to apply a Vinyl to the top of my e92. It's so difficult to decide what to apply exactly though!? It's Monaco Blue with Chrome window trimming if that makes a difference in what shade of black or material appearance. Pics, suggestions, ideas.....

I think gloss black or matte black would be too dark. If you must wrap it I would do it in carbon fiber vinyl.

I wrapped the top of my Arctic Metallic E92 with Gloss black and i love it! |

go with gloss black, matte seems too dull and doesn't look that good

Go gloss man, CF vinyl is so cheesy. Everyone is going to think it looks cheap when you have a knockoff CF roof.

The more and more that I see Di-Noc vinyl I keep noticing its best looking on light colored cars. I'm about 99.9% sure I''m going gloss black with my top, to go with the stealth look of monaco blue at night.
Thanks for the feedback fellas! |

I've been thinking about this for a long time. I finally decided on doing a gloss black roof (my car is also monaco). Just make sure you change your window trim to gloss black to keep it consistent.. otherwise it'll look like ass

I'd go with the gloss black. The CF is fake.
The matte black will show every single little scrape and blemish.

LOL! I've been eye ballin' your car checking out how everything looks. Not to many people with Monaco, so when you spot one it's like "Uuuh! Let's see!"...LoL! Yea I get what your saying, the whole chrome window trimming and all... Do you have any pics Chris? Or if your ever in LB area give me a heads up, I'm off of Ocean Blvd between Alamitos Ave & Orange Ave (or I can always drive out to check yours out sometime?)

Yea good point Mr. 5, thanks for pointing that out. I'm convinced! Gloss Black it is! Now....where shall I go? Ha Ha Ha! I stay in Downtown Long Beach near the Pike! NOON question: How easy is it to remove? Will it damage the paint at all?

3M makes a really good vinyl that will last about 5 years and will peel off really easy.

BTW, very nice page Mr 5! Just read all about ya! Your Road Runner is just sick!! Did you have the Road Runner horn on it? That horn is hilarious knowing there's a BEASAT lurking underneath the hood! But as your page states, there is nothing like German Engineering... Closest thing I've tested/owned to my BMW was my 2002 IS300... but still far from it.
