Stupid question? (TPMS related) - Now with a new question :)

If I have the stock tires/rims on my E90 328xi and I want to replace JUST the tires to snow tires, do I have to worry about the TPMS, or will the stock ones be fine on new tires?

Also, can my local tire/suspension shop install the tires just fine not worrying about the TPMS, or does someone who is familiar with it have to swap the tires out?

Thanks~

tpms is on the rim so you're fine when it comes to swapping tires. as for the shop, you might want to pick a shop that knows what they're doing because it's possible to damage the tpms

TPMS does not need to be swapped when switching rims or tires. You can re-use your current ones if they are functioning properly.

Now, a separate question. My (!) tire indicator light is on and I can't get rid of it. I thought one of my tires was low, but I checked them all, and they are all what they are supposed to be. The car handles fine and the tires are fine when driving. I've tried resetting according to the manual, but no luck. I assume one of the sensors is bad and/or missing, and I should hop on over to the dealer?

thanks.
