Hmmm, you're actually right about that...not sure why they wouldn't put a silicone connection in to replace the flimsy stock hose and connection like the others. I would still prefer the silicone connections over the OEM ones...however that does make for a super easy install.

i just sent a $300 deposit to ETS. I think that any aftermarket FMIC is superior to the stock one - seems like they just decided to make the end tanks of the OEM unit to be very turbulent.
I chose ETS because I like the idea of not having to trim anything. I also like the fittings that they use. + the price point is nice - $650 in their newest GB.

I personally like the 3" in and 3" outlets of AMS' setup....(reason for not using stock hoses), but the CP-E is good, as well as ETS. The only option I don't like is the big Tom eBay intrrcoolers. All personal opinion.

We have the cp-e in stock, and we can get you the AMS very quickly as well. Both are great, proven performers. Once nice thing about the cp-e is that it includes an oil cooler.

It just doesnt seems like anything but the HPF would be a lot of work to take in and out before service. Too many decisions

My vote is for the AMS its tried and proven...but i assume Forge and HPF work well too..but are more $...CpE may just as good but they are new to the market so I suppose its a wait and see..
AA in my opinion is at the bottom of the list any part of the intercooler thats not recieving airflow is useless..take a look at how the AA is designed..a good portion of the intercooler face will not receive airflow. One thing to note is that bigger is not always better..another thing to consider is where the core is made/sourced..thats key. |
