Reason not to roll rear fender???

Can someone point to me why there are some people refused to roll their fender? is it b/c the process is irreverseable, since they are on a lease? or what the deals? As i read though the tire/wheels section I noticed a lot fo BMW owner do not like to roll their fenders. So i'm pondering if there is a side effect.

if its done improperly you can crack the paint or butcher your fenders like another member did.

Some like aggressive fitment some dont simple as that. The ones that dont will argue how horrible it is vice versa.

i am considering rolling as well once i get my new wheels on. from the research ive done so far the major drawbacks are 1) it is not reversible and 2) u have to make sure the people doing it are good...it can end up looking really shitty if ur not careful

i thought there is a machine/tools that roll the fender in, and is that simple. I used to roll my 01 Prelude with a base ball bat (ghetto style) no paint crack what so ever. Guess its just a little more paranoid on a 50k car now for everyone.

LOL me too back then. But on the Bimmers fender wells are very thick learned this from my E46. Was told with the machine aswell has to be done right otherwise paint chips and looks like crap.
