Who has had water leaks on a 2007 e93

I am thinking about buying a 2007 cab (e93) and have read about various folks having leaks.

Is this a common issue?

I've had a Sep 2009 E93 from new - 14 months now - no problems whatsoever

I had a 2007 E93 when they first came out and had numerous water leaks, mainly in the boot. Check the compartment on the left hand side of the boot - I considered keeping goldfish in mine

Also had issues with the roof dripping water where it met the windscreen seal. Other issues included roof shell trims warping and breaking - had 3 sets fitted in 2 years. Turned out though the dealers were partly to blame as they were bakling them after painting and BMW recommend to air-dry only as the heat from the oven distorts the plastic fixings causing them to warp and break again!!

What I would say is though, despite any issues I had, it is still one of the best folding roofs on that class of car - way better than a fabric roof of an A4 for example and very refined with the roof up, even at motorway speeds+

Had my E93 from new since Oct'08. Never had any leaks or rattles. But car is booked in to have had the seals replaced as I now have a sligh knocking sound from the roof.
I would and will have another one
