Question to all lowered 3's !!
I am browsing the threads and I am noticing that about 50% of the lowered 3's have the wheels almost tucked in the fenders.
I own my evo as well, that is slammed in my opinion and it rubs like crazy (rears are about 3/4" from tires and fronts are about 1.5" from tire). I am rocking coilovers at the hardest damper as well. My question is.. Do these cars rub? I live in KY right now and my evo is fine, but when I go to PA, it rubs like crazy. All these cars are tucked real nice and I am tempted, but really am looking for an HONEST opinion from those who have it done before I do it.. |

depends on offsets/tire sizes/fender roll. most of those ppl that are slammed like that are running stretched tires + fender roll.
either that or look like a sunken battleship.

well said. I actually prefer function over style, and enjoy a nice fat tire....

Majority of the members who are slammed and are running aggressive wheel setups have fenders rolled/pulled and possibly some slight camber adjustments. Its definitely possible to have a rub free fitment but it may require some work if you plan to go aggressive.

mine are barely tucking in the back. i dont even have a mm of space. Fenders arent rolled. I rub slightly over BIG bumps, but normal driving im good. gonna roll, spacers and skinnier tires next summer though

thank you for all the great responses. I guess the most simple way of putting it is I was thinking about using on my 325xi just some H&R springs on the stock struts/shocks. On 18's or 19's like many have done (very common setup I am seeing with like linea corse wheels etc etc) I just wonder if when people are sitting in the rear if those cars rub.
Just a random car in the thread I browsed the most. Dont have permission to post this picture, but this is an example of what im speaking of. I am just concerned that if i run a setup that looks similar in height, that if anyone is sitting in the rears will create a horrible rubbing situation. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...149244&page=24 |

So I dont wanna slam this car. Want it to sit nice (I have some OEM 189's I might throw on it, or sell them for some decent 19's if I can find a deal.) and I want the car to look respectable. I HATE THE 16" wheels and the monster truck suspension that comes factory on the 325xi models. |
